Socialization

       Socialization is the main process of the individual’s being involved into the society.
Socialization is the process of turning an antisocial man into a social one. It means that he thinks, feels and acts in accordance to the rules and common sense of the society. The rules and virtues, which are outside in the relation to an individual, are becoming his ideas, points of view.

       As a result not only he becomes stable and predictable, but also the solidarity of the group which he belongs to increases. Besides, a man finds his place in the society, the possibilities to realize himself.

       Usually a man fulfils some roles; for example, a son, a pupil at school, a member of the sport team and etc. Thus, socialization is acquiring social roles. That is why its process can last during all his life, constantly expending. However, adult socialization differs fro, children’s one.
Adult socialization is the process of changes of the acquired virtues and rules in the childhood, gaining new skills.

       At present thousands of people have to change due to the new virtues and rules, which not long ago were considered to be wrong, antisocial in some countries( Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia).

       The process of socialization is greatly influenced by class differences, virtues’ directions, as well as racial, religious, national and cultural differences.
