SCIENCE
It is a pity but only two pupils from all our big working group were considered about science. However we decided not to give up and to work together. Michael and Kate (I) took their equipment:a big sheet of paper, different pencils, pens, a little bit of imagination, inspiration and started seriously working on the project.
First of all we chose the theme of our project. It was easy to do, because in 2006 Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania signed an agreement about building a new Nuclear Power Plant and this problem is actively discussed in all three countries. We called our topic: „The Nuclear power of three countries“.
We discribed our aims as:
- the location of the new Nuclear Power Plant
- the discussion of better conditions suitable for all three countries. (e.g.: the prices of nuclear power which has been exported).
- the problem of the uranium reduce
Tasks we should do during the research were:
- to solve all the problems, which were arisen in the aims.
- to work with all the agreements, already signed.
- to organise debates, discussions among pupils.
Conclusion
- to find the best solution to the problem
- partnership between three countries.
After about 30 minutes of work our sheet of paper where we had to prepare the presentation of our project was still empty and clean. Then we all together started painting our big green tree. The theme of our project was written at the roots of the tree. The aims - on the trunk. The tasks – on the branches and the conclusions were the green leaves. Finally our presentation was ready and we were able to present it for other pupils. The works of others looked more impressive, but from my point of view ours was not bad if you take into account that it was a work of 3 people. Michael and I were a little bit nervous while representing the project for others.
As for me, it was very interesting to work on this project with creative and communicative people.
