The Spirit of Partnership in Europe - Valga, Valka, Visaginas

Working on the site “Spirit of Cooperation in Europe” Valka Gymnasium students not only improved their skills in modern technologies but also learned to express their opinions and listen to their peers about various issues. The students voiced their views about the problems which sometimes due to the lack of time are neither discussed in lessons nor in daily life: what is good and what is evil, why conflicts arise between the individual and society, how safe the young feel.
Praiseworthy is the work on survey about the EU, its foundation. The students processed the information; moreover, they extended their knowledge and understanding about the EU.
I think that the greatest goal of the cooperation is the possibility to learn each other, make friends within the Baltic states, the new members to the EU- Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania recently became a part of new political and economical space called European Union. At once it is essential that space of partnership development would enlarge. Who are our next-door neighbors in European home? How our contemporaries living now? What they thing about? What they care for?

Our project partners are the students of Valka and Valga towns. I support any project of young people because collective activity advantages:

I am sure that participation in that project was very helpful and students have grasped the importance of PARTNERSHIP SPIRIT.

During a foresight of this project each pupil has acquired know of a society and concept about cooperation, its need. Many could find the place, something to borrow and show the opportunities. Acquaintance to new people and desire to cooperate with pupils of other countries has helped association not only between them but also to the state. Until now, there is a problem of rivalry between different nationalities in Baltic, but due to such projects, this problem can be it liquidated. In fact, only, when the youth will understand the importance of cooperation, and to learn to cooperate, it will be possible to speak about full liquidation of this problem. If inside of any country, there is no unity as it can cooperate with the next states. It is necessary to reach in the beginning it a due level in the small unions for example: Baltic. Many had a question what for this project is necessary. The answer is simple for that what to unite the states inside, and in an environment. It is possible. Each person wishes to live well. What he does for this? The person not reached 18 cannot participate in elections, whether means it what it cannot participate in acceptance of the state decisions. Because of such projects, everyone can mention a policy, simply expressing ideas, and receiving the certain knowledge, can make correct decisions. Have concept not only material assets, but also moral values, which are more important for formation of the person in so big society.

We think that this project was really very interesting. It was nice to do all those thing we had to do. It is a great chance to make spend time friends with people from other cultures and to get know with them. Who else will make the friendship spirit, it we won’t? We learned to work together in a team, to think about global issues, to understand what others want to be in this project and find the best solution for problems, and of course to trust each other. We would like to join in other similar projects, because it also gives an experience and ability to communicate with people. This project units pupils schools, towns and the three Baltic states. It is important to make friends, because it makes life nicer and easier. We could also use foreign languages and come to a conclusion that we have to improve them.
The trip to Lithuania was wonderful and it’s important that we could present ourselves there.

There are pluses and minuses in every project. Participation in this project made us sacrifice such things as our free time, good marks; we even had rows with our parents. These are disadvantages. Nevertheless, we have discovered a lot of interesting and useful things. These are advantages:

We learned how to allocate our time and to manage all affairs.
We have improved our knowledge of English.
We have realized the role of communication and partnership in our lives.
We have met a lot of new, creative, communicative, cheerful teenagers and we hope that we will continue to cooperate with them.

Finally, we realized that meeting new people and visiting other countries help to gain precious communicative experience and extra knowledge for a person, which he will be using during all his life.

And as always we start playing according to our method. The aim of this game was as following: all the participants were given a sheet of paper in the shape of a man, which symbolized our spirit of partnership. All the paper people were different, because we are all different. Everybody has written his or her opinion about our meeting, acquaintance and cooperation. All the small paper figures were stuck to the wall and there started the elections of the best one. We are presenting the best three results:
